Fund a Life’s Mission Partner Program
A Life-Changing Mission.
Fund a Life is a 501(c)(3) registered non-profit, whose mission is to provide financial relief grants to help families and individuals overcome major life-altering and threatening circumstances. Led by founder Mark Howell, and with the support of his passionate team of Board Members, volunteers, sponsors, and Mission Partners like you, Fund a Life is dedicated to igniting hope into as many lives as possible.
Your Support.
To join us as a Mission Partner, your participation begins with an annual gift of $15,000 or more to Fund a Life. In addition, if you choose:
You can support a specific cause or crisis
You can sponsor specific Fund a Life events as an additional gift
You can provide volunteer support at fundraisers or events
Our Goal.
The ultimate goal of our Mission Partner Program is for your support to cover 100% of the operational costs at Fund a Life, to help us to ensure that every dollar donated to Fund a Life by individuals and through our annual events goes directly into our grant awards, in addition to any surplus Mission Partner funds.

Your contribution as a Mission Partner can be paid at varying frequencies - either monthly, quarterly, or in one lump sum. We accept new Mission Partners throughout the year, and your partnership renewal date is one year from the date of initial commitment.

Since our inception in 2017, Fund a Life has issued over 70 grants, awarding more than $500,000, and changing the lives of more than 8,000 people. As a Mission Partner, you are directly supporting this life-changing aid, and allowing us to continue providing the financial relief these individuals and families desperately need.

Fund a Life was founded by Brighton, MI native Mark Howell, a Stage 4 Melanoma Cancer survivor. In 2012, at the age of 30 years old, Mark was given 6 weeks to live, shortly after welcoming his first child into the world. Mark's life was "funded" by his community, who raised hundreds of thousands of dollars as he and his young family desperately sought out options for survival.
Through the generous donations and support received, his life was extended long enough to eventually find a viable option to live, by traveling to endless doctors, clinics, and hospitals across the US, without potentially deadly financial constraints that so many individuals and families face. Without this financial and emotional support, the rare and aggressive form of cancer Mark courageously battled would have swiftly taken his life.

Enabled us to pursue every potential treatment we could find that held some validity anywhere across the country. It bought me time. Time to spend with my family. Time to ultimately find the treatment that has me 6 years removed from any measurable disease.

We understand that not everyone can commit to the level of giving set by the Mission Partner program. There are still a variety of ways to support our mission, including becoming an event sponsor, hosting a fundraiser, offering a donation in any amount, and sharing the story of Fund a Life with your team, your friends, your family, and your neighbors.
