Welcome (Back), 2024 Mission Partners!

Success is best when it’s shared.
— Howard Schultz

We are thrilled to welcome back all seven of our previous Mission Partners as continuing partners in 2024! By helping fund our mission and directly contributing to Fund a Life’s growth, these organizations are making a substantial difference in the lives of those who need it most in our community.  Without them and their support, we could not exist.

If you don’t know them yet, we’d love to introduce you!

Along with their major impact on nonprofits all over Livingston County, Steven Bearden and Gwen Haggerty-Bearden of the Ted & Jane Von Voigtlander Foundation have been Fund a Life’s biggest supporter since day one, both emotionally and financially. After our first challenging six months, Gwen and Steven showed up with an unexpected financial gift, which felt like a clear sign from God that we were on the right path, and sparked my drive to continue to grow Fund a Life to where it is today. Whenever things get hard, I remember that moment when the Ted & Jane Von Voigtlander Foundation showed up at exactly the right time.

Executive Wealth Management has been supporting Fund a Life since day one, not just financially, but logistically with volunteers, man hours, and valued advice. Their leadership team supports our mission wholeheartedly, and we have consistently been one of their three selected charities for major support year after year. We consider their entire team to be our extended family and we love and appreciate their partnership more than we can say!

To know Fund a Life, you have to know Nurture Family Dental! We could go on and on about how much we love them. No matter the challenges they’ve faced, Nurture Family Dental has remained enthusiastic, diligent, and committed in their support of Fund a Life and it has inspired our growth beyond words. Their work culture has had a major impact our organization’s mindset and team approach, and helped us build strong connections within the community. We don’t know where Fund a Life would be without them (and we don’t ever want to find out)!

Jen, Alex and the entire team at Trusted Heating and Cooling are beyond supportive of our mission and have maintained such a selfless, giving mentality as they built their business. Not only are they dedicated Mission Partners to Fund a Life, but they’ve also created their own nonprofit giveback program called Trusted Cares, where they donate a portion of their revenues to nonprofits of their customer's choice. We’re proud to be one of those nonprofits, and so grateful to be supported by such a wonderful local business

“Mission Partner” doesn’t seem like enough of a description for Cooper & Binkley Jewelers - they’ve also been like family to me for more than 15 years. With a “never say no” policy for any charity that walks through their doors, Mark and Barb Binkley support many nonprofits in the Livingston area and inspire all of us with their giving spirit. They’ve continued to come up with innovative ways to support Fund a Life over and above their Mission Partner commitment, and we are blessed beyond belief to have them by our side in business and in life!

If you’ve seen any of our videos, then you've already gotten a peek at the magic captured on film by Mixer Media! Scott and his team have generously donated 100% of their professional videography skills to our mission for several years, and the storytelling that we’re able to share is something that we would not be able to do without their help. They’ve brought our mission to light and supported us in immeasurable ways - they may be behind the camera, but we’re proud to put them front and center today to say thank you for all they do for Fund a Life!

Last but certainly not least is our in-kind Mission Partner, the incredibly talented team at First Impression Print & Marketing! Sandy, Don and the team have been like family to Mark for more than 15 years. They supported Mark throughout his cancer journey, and now they are wonderful supporters of Fund a Life. In 2023 they donated all of their marketing & printing support to Fund a Life to bring our events and printed materials to life! We are so thankful for the beautiful work they do and their commitment to our mission.

The ultimate goal of our Mission Partner Program is for our Mission Partner’s support to cover 100% of the operational costs at Fund a Life, to help ensure that every dollar donated to Fund a Life by individuals and through our annual events goes directly into our grant awards, in addition to any surplus Mission Partner funds. We’re currently accepting applications for our 2025 Mission Partner program - visit this link to learn more about what’s involved, and then connect with me for next steps!

We’ve also got a full schedule of events coming up this summer, including Drive to Survive in just a few short weeks on June 29th!

We’re adding some new exciting elements this year, including a strolling dinner catered by Andiamo's, and a thrilling timed autocross. Get your tickets today! Registration is also open now for Warriors for Hope on July 13th.

I hope we’ll see you soon! And in the meantime…keep shining the light!
